A simple & sweet gift..

Christmas is literally around the corner, I don’t know about you but I always have that one person that
I honestly don’t know what to get them and a simple gift card is well, a little impersonal.
So why not add a little something extra special to that gift.
We all love sugar scrubs so why not make a homemade brown sugar scrub, put it in a cute jar and give it to a friend..
This is something that is simple to make, cute & inexpensive.


Brown Sugar Scrub:
Here is what you will need. Now this is enough for about 1-2 uses so if you want you can always double it.
-1 Cup Brown Sugar
-1/2 Cup Sweetened Almond Oil (or you can try olive or coconut oil)
-1/2-1 tsp Vanilla Extract
You can also add:
-1 tsp Vitamin E ( you cut open a couple Vitamin E liquid gel caps)
- sesame seed oil
-a little honey
- Jasmine or lavender oil (instead of almond oil)
- a dash of lemon

Just mix the oils together then add the brown sugar & put it in a jar & its all set & ready to use!

My Favorite holiday looks

I love the holidays, nothing like the smell of freshly baked cookies and family time, and of course nothing like holiday parties.

These are my two favorite looks for the holidays:

A classic red lip w/ eyeliner is always great, specially for family get togethers.
A sexy green smokey eye with soft lips is festive and super cute for an office holiday party or a friends get together.

MAC Metal X creamy eyeshadow

MAC has the most amazing pigments, so when I heard that they where coming out with new creamy eye shadows, I have to admit I was super excited!. This new creamy eye shadows are pure luxury and MAC used new pigments that allow uh-may-zing blendability!

They will be available Dec 23 and will offer high intensity coverage, I think I will be making a last minute trip to MAC, a little gift to myself!.

MAC: Iris Apfel winter 2012 collection

Ok, So let me start by saying that if you don’t know who Iris Apfel is.. please slap yourself then log onto google… now moving on.

I honestly don’t know how she does it, this last year has been crazy busy for her, from producing her own jewelry line to gracing the pages of Vogue and the New York Times, this 90yr old is the fashion worlds sweetheart & she is taking the fashion world by storm.

Now for those of u who still don’t know who she is, Iris Apfel is a Queens native who started out as a designer some of her projects included updating the White House.. how uh-may-zing is that!

Top 10 no no's for your skin

We all want clean & healthy skin, sometimes its difficult to control it but the good thing is there are ways to prevent common skin problems, below is a list of the top 10 things that should be avoided to help your skin. And I know most of us are guilty of doing more than one of them, but since is the new year maybe we should add this in our new years resolution, think of this as your not to do list.


Top ten big No No’s:

1.Not washing your face before bed (I’m guilty of this during the weekend) – there should be no excuse, you should wash your face at least 2 times a day.
2.Popping, picking at a pimple – as tempting as it is, you are doing more harm by touching it. So avoid doing it.
3.Touching your face through out the day – we all do it but just think of everything you touch through the day, don’t touch your face.
4.Remove your makeup before bed- (SUPER guilty of it) this is one of the worst things you can do, no matter how tired you are ALWAYS remove your makeup before bed.
5.Unhealthy diet- what we put in our bodies affect us in a big way, so make sure to eat healthy to keep your skin healthy.
6.STRESS- stress & anxiety should be avoided, there is nothing better then a stress free life.
7.Dehydration- please please please drink plenty of H20! It is so healthy & refreshing.
8.Not enough sleep – No matter how busy your day your body needs to rest!, believe it or not this affects your skin!
9.Not taking extra care of your skin- taking care of your face doesn’t mean just washing your face, make sure to exfoliate at least every 2 weeks & doing a facial. All this helps your skin.
10.No SPF- even if it’s not the summer, we must wear sunscreen year round. Most foundations have spf in them, so make sure you keep your skin protected from the sun.

Morning routine in under 10mins!

One of my new years resolutions is to have my morning routine down in under 10mins, so this morning I tried it and I got it down to 15mins! I did a simple look, I just did foundation, some blush (you can never go wrong with NARS orgasm blush), lipgloss & threw on some lashes & I was out the door! Gotta love the natural look!!

New years resolution

New Years is a couple weeks away and this is the time where we all start making new years resolutions, personally I believe you don’t have to wait until the new year to vow to change something, but i also
Believe its a great way to start the New Year.
below is my own personal list of beauty resolutions I wish to do starting January 1,2012

In 2012 I vow to:
- use makeup remover every night before bed, no matter how late I get home.
-exfoliate every 3days (not just my body but also my face)
- wear SPF EVERY DAY!
- apply a deep conditioning treatment on my hair once a week to keep it healthy & shiny
- work on getting my AM makeup routine under 10mins
- facial once a week
- have all makeup labeled & organized in new & bigger organizers
-continue to drink plenty of H20 to help my skin & over all diet.
- sleep 8hrs a night
- take vitamins EVERYDAY
-smile
-do the whitening regimen everyday (not every other day or once a week like I do now)

The scent of snooki

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this.. I’m shocked then again I’m not, I mean after all Sammi “sweetheart” launched her own fragrance as well. I love perfumes but to be honest I don’t think I will be adding Snooki’s fragrance to my collection.

This fragrance named of course Snooki has notes of, lychee, quince flower, kiwi ,jasmine, cupcake, beach flower, woody notes, driftwood & sugared musk.



The bottle is defiantly Snooki, from the leopard print to the studs on the top of the bottle, and the cute tote that comes with the purchase, this is just playful, fun & sexy.

Love it or hate it??

Your hair makes a big impact on your appearance, it’s a big statement. So when someone makes a BIG change and pulls it off fabulously .. I just love it. This week two lovely ladies made a big change to their gorgeous locks, Rhianna went blonde and I have to admit I’m not a big fan, personally I love dark hair and I loved loved loved her red hair it was different, sexy and so exotic. && the second.. Shakira, she has always rocked long her and this week she cut her lovely blonde locks to a short bob and I have to say I love it, she is rocking it! She works that blonde and that hair cut, that’s a big change from when she first started and had long black hair with pink & purple .. back in her pies descalsos days..

This scent has notes of vanilla, musk & lavender, Personally I only love Lavender in my detergent so I don’t know how I feel about it .
