Pink Lipstick....

So like many of you, I spent weeks trying to find the Pink 4 Friday lipstick by MAC & Nicki Minaj.

Red lips, I adore

Red Lipstick is like your little black dress, every woman must have at least one in their makeup bag, but it seems like a lot of woman shy away from red.
Well I have put together a few tips to help you choose the perfect shade of red (all reds are not created equal). I personally LOVE bold lips and red.. is my first love!, it reminds me of old Hollywood glamour.. pearls, that little black dress, so I hope that I can sway you into this amazing trend that never goes out of style.

Below are a couple of things you must know before purchasing a fantastic red lipstick:

REDS are divided into 2 categories (based on your skin tone)

1.Warm – If you have a golden, peach or tan skin tone try orange based shades ( Try MAC Chili $14)

2.Cool- If your complexion has undertones of pink, violet or blue, you have a cool complexion, try going with a blue or pink undertone red shade (try MAC Russian Red $14)




A few more tips:

-moisturize your lips and line your lips to create a flawless effect.

Item of the Week: Chance by Chanel

My item of the week is Chance by Chanel..

Chance Eau Tendre is the third version of Chance fragrances from Chanel.

with a touch of grapefruit, quince, and Jasmine Absolute, mixed together with crispy fresh green notes. This fragrance is light and fruity but not too sweet. So from the first time I smelled it I was hooked on this sophisticated and sexy fragrance. Chanel never disappoints me. This is my everyday fragrance and I get compliments everyday!..(& who doesn't like to smell good & get compliments.)

So even though it is a bit pricey ($65-90) it is well worth it.! .. && did I mention the bottle is a clear pink.. my favorite color!...

Nails 411: OPI Shatter

Iam SOOOO excited for May, not only am I going to NYC for the first time BUT I just found out that my new obsession OPI Shatter nail polish will now be available in 5 new shades!!.
I am going crazy thinking of all the possible color mixes that I can now use. I am in love with the black but I can always use a little more color.

Sunscreen: an everyday must

Sunscreen.. how many of us actually use it on a day to day basis?
I am very guilty of not always using sunscreen and with summer only weeks away, I have made a promise to myself to add sunscreen to my daily routine.
Sun screen is used as the base of most foundations and moisturizers.
It doesn’t only protect your skin from the sun, if used daily no matter what the season it can help keep your skin tight, smooth and with less wrinkles.
Sunscreen will protect you from skin cancer, painful sunburns, wrinkles, old looking skin, dry and irritated skin, and it will leave your body feeling smooth and moisturized.
Make sure to add sunscreen to your daily routine not only for your face but your body.
I know I will!.



Also make sure to keep your eyes protected by wearing a cute pair of sunglasses.

Aspirin Mask

I have been reading about this Aspirin Mask and I was interested in trying it due to its high reviews, I must say I was not disappointed one bit!.

This decision came at a great time since my face decided to have a mini break out session on my forehead. (of all places). I purchased a bottle at cvs for .98 . (contains 8, this only uses 3) Now the original instructions use only aspirins and H20, well I added an extra ingredient and i love the results!

1.use 3 tablets and a few drops of H20 and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil to the mixture.

2.Rub it to your face like you would with an exfoliation scrub.

3.Let it sit on our face for about ten minutes.

4.&& at last wet your hands with warm H20 and wipe the mask off your face in a circular motions.

This will leave your skin feeling fresh & super soft ( thanks to the olive oil)

By the next morning our skin should look radiant and blemish free (for the most part).

Item of the week:OPI

OPI:Shatter nail polish





Let's just say I Fall in love over & over again when I look at my nails. I was not able to find this nail polish BUT I am lucky enough to have an AMAZING cousin (@ChrisBorzin) who found it for me and because he loves me, surprised me with it! (yay).





It took me a few tries to get the "shattering" effect the way I wanted it. I used it with a neon yellow as a base coat and I love the effect. It dries quickly and I will advise to use a top coat. this nail polish dries to a matte finish. The color combinations are endless! I might do a silver or even a combo of white & pink and the black shatter on top. So I am currently obsessed and on the hunt to buy more.

Sublime Bronzer review

A great summer tan is a must and if your not a fan of sitting in the sun or going to a tanning salon, the next best thing to do is a self tanner.
This past week I ventured into something I've never done.. using a self tanner.
I saw L'oreal's Sublime Bronzer and well like any product i has its pros & cons.
I personally would never use it again and only because I am not good with self tanners (lol) I will just go to a Tanning salon.
Ok so a MUST before you use any self tanner is that you have exfoliate!
so try using any scrub, i personally LOVE bath & body works sugar scrub ($16 but they usually have some sort of sale or deal going on.)
so after you shower and exfoliate, spray the self-tanning gel and follow directions.
one more thing please make sure to use gloves then sponge your hands, that was my first mistake I didn't use a gloves and washed my hands like 10mins after applying… My hands seriously looked like I strangled an oomph loompa, not a good look. Below are are the pro's and cons of this product.


Pros
-dries with in 5mins
-its not greasy
- you can see results with in 2hrs
-i used it one day and got a nice color
- even tan
- If used properly the tan looks very natural
-good price
-upkeep is easy (once a week)


Cons
-if you over use it gives you an ompa loompa look (i.e my palms)
-it has a smell
-it leaves a light stain on your clothes after first application (wear dark colors after)

So for $10 this is a good buy and excellent if you are good at doing self- tanning.

Face Tonic

This week I lifted my spirit as well as calmed and in the process I gave my skin a soothing and calming facia with this amazing and cheap sheet mask, this "sheet" contains lemon &ginseng that detoxes your skin and unclogge your pores and green tea and red grape juice as anti-oxidants to helps your skin feel rejuvinated. 
When I first put it on it tingled just a bit, ok well more then a bit. I am in love with the spearmint smell, so i kept it on a bit more then 5 mins, which I will suggest you dont do. those five minutes where relaxing and soothing, so for $1.99 I can do this as my weekly 5 minute get away and come back with amazing smooth skin with a nice glow.

Item of the week: FIT ME

On my night run to CVS I came across MY Product of the week.
I love foundations that feel extra light, soft and natural, well this amazing foundation gave me all of that & amazing coverage all for under $10!.
So I bought shade #235 and I must say it was a tad bit darker but its ok since summer is just around the corner.
Pros:
-natural look
-does not look cakey
-good coverage
-
Cons:
- after a few hours it starts to make your skin look oily
-not the best if you have oily skin
-takes about 5mins to sit & "FIT" your complexion

I wore this to work today and minus the oily look after a few hours (which I fixed by bloating and applying loose powder)
i really liked it, i love that it feels like you have no makeup on and it sits well on your skin.
This just might be my new foundation.

Blush: Tips & Tricks

Spring is just around the corner which means summer is almost here!

This Spring/Summer a beautiful natural glow is a MUST and having the right blush for your complexion will help create that flawless look.


Here are a few tips & tricks:

-Apply blush according to your face shape.
* If you have a longer face you should apply blush at a horizontal angle to create the feeling of a wider face.
* If you have a wider face (like me) you should apply it in center of your cheek

-Find the right shade for you as blush should be used to enhance your complexion.
- Start by using a small amount of blush then build up for the desire look.
-Make sure to blend the blush if not it make it can add about by 5years to your look (& no one wants that).
- Using two shades?
*apply the darker one on the apple of the cheek first, then use the lighter shade to highlight. Blend well so there is no visible line between colors.

- Don’t know where the apples of your cheek are? Well just do a full smile that helps you identify it.

-Blush should NEVER go below the bottom of the nose.

Also make sure to highlight your temples, forehead and chin

Happy Monday!
I am still intrigued by the Hello Kitty cosmetic line and I must say I’m loving what I am seeing.
When I was at Sephora I did not see this exclusive set which is also limited edition but when I looked online … I couldn’t stop looking at it.

My item of this week is...

Rhianna's fragrance Reb'l Fleur. I will admit when i saw it Macy's I was a bit skeptical but when I smelled it..let's just say I was in love for a second. I love floral yet sexy scents and Reb'l Fleur has an amazing balance of both and also a little spicy hint to it. This has been my favorite product this week. It is my new go to fragrance for a night on the town!. It’s soft, feminine and a little dangerous.
So if you haven't tried it, you are missing out!
