We always hear  "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" "beauty is skin deep"  so Ive always wonder what is everyone's definition of beauty? so ..I googled the question to see what would come up...&& I found a very interesting article, its an audio but here are some of the highlights of it and also the link if you want to hear the whole interview...

Is beauty in the eye of the beholder? John defines beauty as that which brings enjoyment to the person who looks or contemplates. John defines subjective properties as properties that require subjects of the right sort to make a difference. When we say something is beautiful, are we recommending to others that they should take delight in it? Beauty may be intersubjective, but is it objective? Can we argue rationally about whether something is beautiful? Ken introduces Alexander Nehamas, professor at Princeton. Is beauty both skin deep and in the eye of the beholder? Nehamas distinguishes between surface beauty and deep beauty.

 

Kant thought that if we think something is beautiful then we want everyone to agree with us. Ken proposes the idea that perception is a skill. Would the world be better off if everyone agreed on what is beautiful? Nehamas thinks the world would not be better off because what we find beautiful is a reflection of our personality and individuality. What can we learn about ourselves from what we find beautiful? Nehamas thinks that it illuminates our style. Is taste a function of education and economics?

 

Is natural beauty ever better than constructed beauty, like in art or music? Do beauty and happiness go together? What is the relation between beauty and the sublime? Nehamas says that the sublime is our reaction in the face of something so overpowering that it consumes or obliterates us. There is a saying that truth is beauty and beauty is truth, but is that correct? John thinks it is false. Why does beauty matter?

Breaking a bad habit...

I picked up a bad habit a couple years back ( it started when I was working at Sbux)...
biting my nails...as gross as it sounds, I was working on breaking that habit and I found something that worked for me, as soon as I quit Sbux I was able to get manicures and I stopped, because who wants to ruin a perfect manicure. If that doesnt work for you try hypnosis (im serious lol) some people swear by it or you can try one of this products to help break this nasty habit.

i heart lashes

I love love love fake lashes they make your lashes look full & voluptuous so I recently went to CVS and found a pair of eyelashes (Ardell $4.00-7.00) and I must say i love them, they are durable and are way cheaper then M.A.C and some come in a little starter kit with glue, so if you cant make it to your nearest cosmetic counter your local drug store should carry this brand.

I am a sucker for packaging.. I will purchase something because the package was hot,
so looking online I found the pictures for the new Books of Shadows III by Urban Decay.( i have always loved their packaging) Inspired by NYC this book of shadows consists of 16 eyeshadows
(0.03 oz. each, total of 0.48 oz.) , 2 miniature-sized eyeliners (0.03 oz. each, total of 0.06 oz.), and 1 minature-sized Primer Potion (0.13 fl. oz.)  This sexy palette will retail for about $54 and will be available at  Sephora, Ulta and Macy's October 1st.
since I couldn't find the descriptions of every eyeshadow i googled and found pictures (which are waay better!)

PS: All Eyeshadows can be used wet for more intense color, try them as a liner!
