MUST HAVE: Napoleon Perdis Iris Lipstick Review

While organizing my makeup this weekend I came across one of my old favorite lipsticks,
so of course I had to do a review. I don't know why I didn't do a review sooner.
I actually bought this lipstick a few months back after I ran out of the Xenia (a nice deep red), I discovered IRIS and fell in love!, the color is amazing the perfect nude.

I first came across the "DeVine Goddess" collection while attending the Napoleon Perdis Academy and they have been on my must have list ever since.  This lipsticks come in a super cute package, which they redid not long ago and I love love love it!, the lipsticks are creamy and semi matte, they are full of herbal extracts and antioxidants and the colors are too die for!.

If you haven't tried Napoleon Perdis's DeVine Goddess lipsticks you are seriously missing out!.

you can purchase this lipstick ($25) and other colors at NapoleponPerdis.com or at a Napoleon Perdis counter in Nordstroms.

A Pop of color: BA STAR Review

BA STAR is a new brand to me and oh have I been missing out!.
I was excited to get the opportunity to try their new Tropical eyeshadow Palette, adding a pop of color is a must for the summer.

BA STAR is the Number One Performance Makeup for Cheerleading, All Star Cheerleading, Rec Cheerleading, Cheerleading Competitions, Dance Makeup.

I received a palette with 5 eyeshadows and a eyeshadow glue (base).
I wasn't sure if the colors will show up as bright as they looked and oh was I impressed, they are very well pigmented and shimmery, when I applied the eyeshadows without the glue the colors were bright but not as bright as they were when I used the eyeshadow glue. Not only were the colors bright but they also blend so well!.The palette comes with a brush but I have to admit I wasn't a big fan of the brush.

without eyeshadow glue

Overall I'm really happy to have gotten a chance to try this amazing product, the colors are vivid and the eyeshadow glue is amazing!, BA STAR has amazing products and amazing prices. I will defiantly be ordering some more products from BA STAR.

Fall in love with Georgie and Elaine

So I normally don't do reviews on clothing lines BUT
after being introduced to this amazing clothing line, I had to SHARE!!

Georgie & Elaine is a contemporary women's clothing line based out of New York. Devin VanderMaas, the founder of Georgie & Elaine, was inspired by her grandparent's (named Georgie & Elaine) love story. (I seriously love this).

Devin VanderMaas aims to tell a different, real life love story with each collection by being committed to classic, lasting silhouettes, quality natural fabrics, and interesting textures.
Georgie & Elaine is a Vegan, eco- friendly and non-violent brand, they use soy silk and ahimsa silk. Which to be honest at first I didn't really understand non-violent and eco-friendly, well what this means is that no animals or the environment were harmed.

" Quality Fabric + Construction + Classic + Lasting Silhouettes = Staple Pieces"

G&E clothing is the perfect balance between classic sophistication and contemporary pieces. From mini dresses to silk blouses, you can wear these pieces during the day at the office or school and also during the evening for a date or a girl's night out!.
The Elaine Dress $275, 100% silk chiffon
The Michelle Dress $290, 100% Silk Knit Jersey
The Michelle Dress $290, 100% Silk Knit Jersey (BACKSIDE)

The Holy Grail of Eyelash Curlers? Twilash review

Disclaimer: The product featured on this post was sent to me to review for LABlush. This is not a sponsored or paid review for Twilash or companies featured on my blog. The products I received were shipped by Twilash for blog review purposes.

If there is one thing I cant live without is a good mascara and eyelash curler oooh and eyelashes, I have the worst eyelashes they're thin and straight, no curl whatsoever.
Which is why I was excited to try a new product called TWILASH, unlike any other product out there Twilash is designed to curl your lashes, thicken and lengthen with their mascara and also includes pads to remove the mascara.

"an engineered beauty tool that enhances and maintains your eyelashes" -Twilash

The Claim:
"TWILASH is the Swiss Army Knife of eyelash products that every woman should carry.  An engineered beauty tool that enhances and maintains your eyelashes, TWILASH replaces your entire arsenal of lash primping equipment.  TWILASH is the highest quality mascara, applicator/remover, curler and lash elongate all in one ... yes one!  TWILASH fits right in your hand for perfect control.  It maintains your lash health and prevents premature aging."

The first time I used twilash I was a little confused and lost to be honest, Twilash looks soo much different than a regular eyelash curler, I found the tutorial on their website (which you will find below this post) and  watched it a few times, the enhancer takes longer to curl your lashes than a regular eyelash curler but unlike the eyelash curler Twilash leaves your lashes curled without bending them and damaging them.

I loved the mascara, My eyelashes looked fuller and longer, it stayed on for about 10hrs, I didn't have to reapply or recurl like I normally do which was amazing.
Finally after wearing this mascara for 10 hours I removed it with twilash again the first time I used it I really didn't do it right so I wasn't impressed, the second time I fell in love.

Using your own makeup remover and the pads designed specifically for twilash I was able to remove all of the mascara without damaging my skin around my eye, which i normally scrub and pull when trying to remove mascara. Twilash takes a little longer to use but it is sooo worth it!.

Twilash is not in stores yet but check them out on their website to see how you can pre-order this product. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to get the latest updates on the brand.

DIY: Rose Water Toner

DIY: Rose Water Toner

I first heard of Rose water from my aunt, I decided to give it a try and picked some up at the market. My aunt told me that instead of buying I should just make it at home cheaper and a lot better than the store bought one, plus by making it at home I can smell that delicious aroma as I'm making it and even made some delicious rose water tea (sooo yummy).

Rose water has been used by women for generations, and I can see why Rose water has amazing skin benefits;

  • Soothing and nourishing
  • helps heal sunburns and wounds (great anti-inflammatory)
  • Helps with your skins PH levels
  • Tones & rejuvenates
  • helps minimize your pores
  • Rich source of antioxidant
  • Makeup setter (spray after you apply your makeup)
  • Great moisturizer for dry skin
  • leaves your skin feeling soo smooth
