Review: Perlier Elixir Face Serum

 I'm always on the lookout for good serums and creams for my face and neck, so when iFabbo and Perlier sent me Perlier's Honey Miel Elixir Face serum I was excited to try this, I have tried there bath & body products and LOVED them, from the body wash to the body butter and scrub, Perlier never disappoints.

This serum is made of  organic Italian honey and Fresh Royal Jelly.
I heard about fresh royal jelly a few months back, it was on the DR OZ show.
Fresh royal jelly is an amazing rejuvenating substance that is fed to select bee larva to help them grow into queen bees. This substance is packed with minerals, proteins and antioxidants.

Before trying this, I went 2 days without using any moisturizer or serum (my skin was hating me) I wanted to see how the serum reacted to my super dry skin. I applied the serum on night 2 of my no-moisturizer cleanse, As soon as I applied the serum I could feel a difference, the next morning my skin felt so soft and moisturized. I continued to use it all week and could see the difference, my skin looked and felt so healthy. The serum sinks into your skin leaving your skin feeling moisturized but its not too heavy like other serums. One thing I wasn't a big fan of the smell, it had a hint of honey which i loved, but the overall smell which wasn't overwhelming wasn't the best. The serum works great under makeup!

BB,CC & DD cream.. What's the difference?

If you've stepped inside an ULTA, sephora or any drug store chances are you've seen rows and rows of BB, CC & DD creams and are wondering what the big difference is,  So here is a basic breakdown of each product, and what they do. (Although some may differ depending on the brand)

BB cream

BB cream is like tinted moisturizer it gives you light coverage and hydration as well as work as a primer and most brands have SPF, this is 

perfect for everyday use.

CC cream 

CC creams give you little more coverage than BBs and still feel super light. Unlike BB's, CC's have the addition of ingredients(like vitamin C&E) that help diminish dark spots and redness, it helps the appearance of skin. This is perfect if you have problem skin like acne. 

DD cream

DD cream is a compilation of BB & CC creams, it gives you light coverage with  hydrating and anti-aging ingredients like botanical oils (avocado, almond, jojoba), vitamins C and E , and did I mention anti-aging benefits!!, this cream helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles!. 

These creams have a lot in common but also have components that set them apart from one another.

Review: Dermalogica Skin hydrating booster

I received this product and was excited to try it, I wanted to try it out for a couple of weeks to see the full results then write a review. Well the weeks weren't needed because I saw results right away. 

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster comes in a 30ml bottle($56).It is a clear fluid which feels slightly oily. Only a small amount is required (6-10 drops depending on the area) it is intensely concentrated. A little goes a long way when applied to the skin. 

Skin Hydrating Booster contains Hyaluronic acid, Panthenol, Glycolipids and Algae extract. These ingredients all contribute to improved hydration and the minimisation of fine lines without that greasy feeling. 

I have combination skin, a really oily T-zone and really dry cheeks and chin. I've tried moisturizers but they leave my skin feeling greasy and if I don't use it the area where my skin is dry gets flaky. 

 

I started using this twice a day, once in the morning before I start my makeup routine and at night before bed I did this the first week and saw a significant difference in moisture, my cheeks where no longer dry even when I didn't apply any product and did I mention it has an amazing soft lavender scent. 

Honestly I don't know why I didn't try this skin hydrating booster sooner! 

 I love dermalogica products and this is by far my favorite!!
