Fall in love with Georgie and Elaine

So I normally don't do reviews on clothing lines BUT
after being introduced to this amazing clothing line, I had to SHARE!!

Georgie & Elaine is a contemporary women's clothing line based out of New York. Devin VanderMaas, the founder of Georgie & Elaine, was inspired by her grandparent's (named Georgie & Elaine) love story. (I seriously love this).

Devin VanderMaas aims to tell a different, real life love story with each collection by being committed to classic, lasting silhouettes, quality natural fabrics, and interesting textures.
Georgie & Elaine is a Vegan, eco- friendly and non-violent brand, they use soy silk and ahimsa silk. Which to be honest at first I didn't really understand non-violent and eco-friendly, well what this means is that no animals or the environment were harmed.

The Holy Grail of Eyelash Curlers? Twilash review

Disclaimer: The product featured on this post was sent to me to review for LABlush. This is not a sponsored or paid review for Twilash or companies featured on my blog. The products I received were shipped by Twilash for blog review purposes.

If there is one thing I cant live without is a good mascara and eyelash curler oooh and eyelashes, I have the worst eyelashes they're thin and straight, no curl whatsoever.
Which is why I was excited to try a new product called TWILASH, unlike any other product out there Twilash is designed to curl your lashes, thicken and lengthen with their mascara and also includes pads to remove the mascara.

"an engineered beauty tool that enhances and maintains your eyelashes" -Twilash

The Claim:
"TWILASH is the Swiss Army Knife of eyelash products that every woman should carry.  An engineered beauty tool that enhances and maintains your eyelashes, TWILASH replaces your entire arsenal of lash primping equipment.  TWILASH is the highest quality mascara, applicator/remover, curler and lash elongate all in one ... yes one!  TWILASH fits right in your hand for perfect control.  It maintains your lash health and prevents premature aging."

The first time I used twilash I was a little confused and lost to be honest, Twilash looks soo much different than a regular eyelash curler, I found the tutorial on their website (which you will find below this post) and  watched it a few times, the enhancer takes longer to curl your lashes than a regular eyelash curler but unlike the eyelash curler Twilash leaves your lashes curled without bending them and damaging them.

I loved the mascara, My eyelashes looked fuller and longer, it stayed on for about 10hrs, I didn't have to reapply or recurl like I normally do which was amazing.
Finally after wearing this mascara for 10 hours I removed it with twilash again the first time I used it I really didn't do it right so I wasn't impressed, the second time I fell in love.

Using your own makeup remover and the pads designed specifically for twilash I was able to remove all of the mascara without damaging my skin around my eye, which i normally scrub and pull when trying to remove mascara. Twilash takes a little longer to use but it is sooo worth it!.

Twilash is not in stores yet but check them out on their website to see how you can pre-order this product. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to get the latest updates on the brand.

DIY: Rose Water Toner

DIY: Rose Water Toner

I first heard of Rose water from my aunt, I decided to give it a try and picked some up at the market. My aunt told me that instead of buying I should just make it at home cheaper and a lot better than the store bought one, plus by making it at home I can smell that delicious aroma as I'm making it and even made some delicious rose water tea (sooo yummy).

Rose water has been used by women for generations, and I can see why Rose water has amazing skin benefits;

  • Soothing and nourishing
  • helps heal sunburns and wounds (great anti-inflammatory)
  • Helps with your skins PH levels
  • Tones & rejuvenates
  • helps minimize your pores
  • Rich source of antioxidant
  • Makeup setter (spray after you apply your makeup)
  • Great moisturizer for dry skin
  • leaves your skin feeling soo smooth

Review: Beautisol Self Tanner

Disclaimer: The products featured on this post was picked by me to review for LABlush. This is not a sponsored or paid review for iFabbo or companies featured on my blog. The products I received were shipped by iFabbo, for blog review purposes.

After having surgery a few weeks ago I was stuck inside for days, ok more like weeks. I was on bed rest and my already casper looking self looked even more pale, ( I didn't even think that was possible) Thankfully iFabbo and beautisol came to my rescue without even knowing it.
I received Beautisol medium self tanning mousse and was excited to try it.  I've tried Beautisol self tanners before and loved them!.

Product Claim: [From the Beautisol website]

  • Gives an immediate light bronzing effect while simultaneously developing a natural looking tan on your skin.
  • Helps hide skin imperfections – think… “If you can’t tone it, tan it!
  • Moisturizes & nourishes the skin with anti-aging properties
  • Contains an odor eliminating fragrance technology called PURE SCENT that helps to eliminate the unpleasant processing odor all self-tanners have!
  •  A light guide color allows you to see where you applied the product and where you missed to ensure a flawless application
  • Advanced, patented DHA provides a perfectly natural color while preventing oxidative stress
  • Paraben-free, propylene glycol-free, and cruelty-free (PETA certified)
  • Antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients help nourish and hydrate the skin

Unlike some other self tanners  Beautisol comes with a guide of how much to use in each part of your body and a mitt! (so your hands don't get super dark).

                              The verdict
ALL the claims are TRUE, this tanner was soo easy to apply and it smelled good, although I did have some lines on my legs which where totally my fault. I waited three days like it said on the guide and exfoliated my skin and started with a clean slate, second time around it was perfect!, my skin looked like I was on vacation sun bathing all weekend. The instructions say to wear loose clothing for about 6-8hrs and that is a MUST! If not the self tanner wont set in properly. It dries quick but just to be on the safe side wait about 2mins before putting clothes on and its best to do it before going to bed.

Mink 3D makeup printer..seriously the holy grail of makeup

Printing makeup from your home computer....Sounds impossible right?? well it's not, Grace Choi, a recent Harvard Business School graduate has created an amazing product that will change the beauty industry as we know it. Instead of going to Sephora or any makeup counter paying up premium prices on eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushes ect- now we can just print it from home with Mink!

“The makeup industry makes a whole lot of money on a whole lot of bullshit, and they do this by charging a huge premium on one thing that technology provides for free. And that one thing is color.”- Choi

As Choi explained on Monday during her presentation at Disrupt New York a conference for entrepreneurs the goal of Mink is to combine the selection of prestige with the convenience of a mass product and bring it right into the consumer's own home. Now I know you're wondering how this works, and where can we buy this amazing product!!

You start by pulling the color of your choice from anywhere from a  YouTube tutorial to Pinterest and even your own pictures.. *amazeballs*
You would then obtain the official hex code associated with the hue by using an app like ColorPicker on iTunes, then you would inserts the desired color into any photo program, like Paint or Photoshop, and hit print within minutes you will have a usable blush, eyeshadow, lipstick an even foundation in a little pot. All you need is ink & what you're printing to. (paper or textile) just like any regular printer. Mink is set to launch later this year for $300!! which is amazing if you calculate how much you usually spend on a trip to Sephora.

I'm so excited to get my hands on Mink, can you imagine being able to look on pinterest falling in love with a color and instead of having to go to the store hunting for it and spending up to $20-30 you can just print it from home!!, I'm just wondering if we will be able to print a matte lipstick or a shimmery eyeshadow?, and how long will it last or how well will it blend?. I will have to wait and find out.

"This is going to finally train our girls to understand that the definition of beauty is something that they should be able to control," she said at the conference, "not our corporations.” - Choi

Review: Beautisol Exscrub Me? face exfoliant

Disclaimer: The products featured on this post  where picked by me to review for LABlush. This is not a sponsored or paid review for iFabbo or companies featured on my blog. The products I received were shipped by iFabbo, for blog review purposes.

It's been a while since I've switched up my face scrub, so I was excited to try Beautisol's Exscrub me? face exfoliant. I love the name.. Exscrub me?, and I love Beautisol self tanning products so I knew I was in for a good experience and treat for my skin.

"Exscrub Me? is a gentle yet very effective citrus face exfoliant that is the perfect solution for deep cleansing the face, removing dead skin cells and eradicating impurities. Infused with certified organic orange peel, lemon, and grapefriut extracts, it leaves the skin feeling cleansed, fresh and rejuvenated. It’s paraben-free, sodium laurel/laureth sulphate free, vegan and as always, cruelty free."  -Beautisol
Me as soon as I saw that  my Exscrub Me? was here
Beautisol Exscrub Me? is an effective exfoliant. It was developed by Beautisol to prepare the face for applying self-tanner, but it can also be used as a exfoliating treatment twice a week.
Regular exfoliation is so important, its a must in your beauty routine, specially if you use self tanning products, your skin needs to be smooth to ensure that your tan goes on evenly with no patches or streaks.

The first day I tried it I knew the beauty gods loved me, this pretty pink scrub with little red beads not only smelled good but did wonders to my skin, unlike some other brands this exfoliant was abrasive without me having to apply a lot of pressure,  just smooth over your skin gently then rinse with warm water, the and your skin is left feeling soft and clean.

I've been using  Exscrub Me? for about two weeks and can see the difference in my skin already, my skin feels soft and my pores are cleaner & smaller (I have horrible pores).
Cleaner pores ensure that other skincare products absorb more effectively. I will defiantly be buying this and adding it to my favorites!

I don't recommend using Exscrub Me?  if you have very sensitive skin, the small exfoliating granules are quite abrasive and may make your face look red and irritated.

Price: $17 USD for 2oz. Available at Beautisol and HSN

Special offer: Use code BOGO2014 to receive a free Exscrub Me? Face Exfoliant when you purchase  Exscrub me? Face Exfoliant at Beautisol.com [a $17 value].

Are you ready for the summer?

Just like your wardrobe changes for the summer, so does your beauty routine!.
During the winter we use products to help keep our skin feeling moist but those products that helped us get through the winter may not be so helpful during the summer.
For the summer you wanna use products that have lightweight ingredients that will help hydrate and give a breathable barrier to your skin. Look for ingredients like silicones, squalane, and glycerin.

The sun affects your face, body and hair!

Help protect your hair by using a hair mask at least twice a week,  and protect your scalp as well with a hair & scalp spray.  The sun is not the only factor that damages your hair, the chlorine from the pool also damages your hair, so try switching up your shampoo and conditioner as well that will help protect your hair.

Everyone loves a good tan, but UV rays can be very harmful to your skin, make sure to keep your skin hydrated, sunscreen is a MUST, and you have to keep reapplying it. Make sure you also exfoliate your skin, get rid of those dead skin cells!

You have to keep your face hydrated, chronic dryness can speed up the aging process and dehydrated skin draws attention to fine lines, make sure you exfoliate your face at least twice a week, to get rid of dead skin cells, wash your face every day and night!, add a skin renewal booster to help keep your skin hydrated. Just like your body your face also needs sunscreen!.

Your skin needs to be bombarded with age-fighting ingredients to help protect your skin from the aging effects of UV as well as help undo any damage that may have already occurred and make sure to drink PLENTY of WATER!!

Here are a few MUST have products for your summer's beauty routine to help protect your skin & hair.

Are you ready for the summer?
