Superfoods to help your skin

The effects of our lifestyles can display themselves on our faces before we even start to feel them. Anything from pollution, stress & fatigue even our diets take a toll on our appearance. Well you can start making changes by just eating the right foods and making sure you have a good & healthy diet. Here are some top foods that can give you a "natural facelift."

Garlic

This superfood gives you great skin benefits. It is a natural antibiotic that contains immune boosting & blood cleansing antibacterial properties. Garlic is also a natural (&cheap) way to help treat acne.
Garlic when eaten raw & crushed can help reduce future breakouts and anti-inflammatory properties can reduce the swelling and inflammation of acne.

Spinach

Spinach is rich in a antioxidant called lutein. This is great for healthy eyes and it is amazing at preventing wrinkles by helping to retain the skin's moisture and elasticity. Spinach also helps reduce dark circles.
Spinach is rich in vitamins K & C which help reduce the dark circles.

Bananas

Fluid retention is the primary cause of belly bloating, and it is also responsible for a puffy face and bags under the eyes. Well it can be treated through a good diet.increase your intake of potassium through foods such as bananas. Other potassium rich foods include strawberries, and melon this are great for a  youthful, bloated free face.

Oysters
Besides being a aphrodisiac, oysters can also enhance your beauty. If you have pale or sallow skin this is due to vitamin B12 or iron deficiencies. Try boosting your intake of essential nutrients by eating oysters, which has a high level of both iron & vitamin B12.

Avocados
Avocados do wonders for the skin. Packed with omega-3 fatty acids, avocados help to moisturize the skin from the inside and increase collagen production, which prevent wrinkles and reduce acne.

  1. I think the garlic would be hard to swallow if eaten raw, but I'll try it. My mother used to peel the bananas, put them in a bowl and squash it to make a paste and put it on my face when my acne was really bad in high school. She did that with the avacado as well. AND IT WORKS! :) But I'll will definitely try the garlic and the spinich. Thanks for the tips!
